So I decided to write a monthly report of my personal development journey and update it each month. I hope this process continues over months and so I can rerlect better on my improvement and what I have achieved every month. As well to be a documentation of the past progress.
I would make a section and list of the things that were important for me and seperatly write about different skills that has been developed.
I sincerely hope that these reports helps me with the consistancy challenge and makes me think more about of the strategic skills I want to develop every day, week and month.
The order is not necessarily based on the importance of each skill, rather only my preference.
Piano
I am very satisfied with the time I spent this month on practicing music, in this case piano. I think the overall amount of practice was better than before and I am happy that I started going back to the weekly classes. It is a very good challenge and push for me.
Workout/Gym/Walking
YouTube
In past months, my knowledge of video and photography has significantly improved but I still feel that I don’t know how to and can’t make interesting videos. My technical knowledge has improved but I still need to learn more about the quality, sound, audio and everything else. However, I am fully awared that this can itself become a trap for me. Trap of technical perfection and getting stuck into gear. On the other hand, forgetting about the story, what I want to say and how to say it.
Violin
I haven’t practiced Violin this month unfortunately, and for the month before that. I know it is because I need time and a good teacher. I met a girl at my other job, very accidently, we figure out that both of us play and love violin, and she told me she can teach me violin, but she went back to Iran, and maybe after of her visit, she can start to teach me. I have a very good feelings for her and I hope she would come back.
Books
I started to read Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson and I think it is a good choice for this month. I really need to improve my communication and negotiation skills and get less invovled into the pointless arguments, fights and discussions. I am notoriously bad at managing my anger and not getting involved with fools in stupid conversations, to a point that most people might not be able to say, either I am the fool or the person I argue with is! I know this weakness and really want to improve it.
